This year has been an amazing adventure. That’s what we call years like this around here. And no, 2020 is not our biggest adventure. It’s not even close. Here’s a status report.
I just had my last planned eye surgery last week and things are about as good as they are going to get, which is not so bad. My left eye is 20/20, ironic, I know. But all good in this case.
My right eye is better than it’s been in a year and a half. I can’t read with it but I have peripheral vision which helps some with depth perception and bumping into things. But I still knock things over. I have solved my computer vision problems and can now work reasonably well with no headaches.
Getting Back To Work
This means that I’m waking up my website, dusting off my keyboard, and shaking out the cobwebs. I’ve been doing nothing but thinking and there’s only so much of that a man can take.
Doing is the thing. Ideas are cheap and plentiful. Turning ideas into reality refines them into something worthwhile.
There is only one thing worth less than ideas. It’s talking about what you are about to do with your ideas. So, this is all the warning you will get.
With God’s grace, some due diligence, a little more work, and a little less talk, I propose to do . . . something. As hard as I can.
I’m happy that your eye sight is getting better. My Barbie Ann had her eye surgery back in January and she is so happy about it.
Ideas are like faith! Without works they are dead!! Thanks for an inspiring word to do the things I’ve been thinking about and know God wants me to do!!!
Dennis, so sorry about your eyesight! Continued prayer for speedy and complete recovery. I love reading your blog!
I too am so glad your eye sight is improving. I was thinking of you this past week, so knew I could “come for a visit “ here to catch up. Have been praying for you when God brings you to mind (routinely, often).
Thx for continuing to stay vulnerable. I’m convinced more and more this is lacking, and desperately needed in the Body.

This seems quite true lately. You aren’t alone.
