I’ve noticed that it’s often hard to figure out who originally said a quote. Not just because nobody gets it right on the internet, or they give Abraham Lincoln credit for everything, but because famous people have quoted others before them and get credit. It was the first time someone ever heard it.

Then, there’s the basic idea behind a clever quote. That, almost always, seems to go back as far as scripture.

But I just realized that it doesn’t matter who said something in the past. The question is, is it being said today?

Because, if we’re not saying it today, or doing it, then it may as well have never happened.

This moment is the one we get.

All over the world, right now, people of all different ages, races, customs and gifts are busy doing something. Our job is to make it something that counts.

If we don’t do it today then it’s not being done in the only time that matters – now.

Imagine what beautiful and wonderful things could cease to exist just by oversight, if we stop doing them.

What’s important to you? What really matters? What do you want to make sure stays in the world today and in the future?

Do that.
